Every chord stays visible
The grid keeps the in-key chords available at a glance, so you can move through a progression without opening menus or changing pages.
Max for Live chord device · Ableton Live workflow
Tuple keeps harmony visible and playable inside Ableton Live: every in-key chord, plus borrowed chords, on one color-coded grid. No menu diving, no theory friction, no separate app.
Workflow first
Tuple is built around a simple workflow idea: the musical space should stay visible while you write. Instead of browsing generated suggestions, you can see the available harmonic choices and move by ear.
The grid keeps the in-key chords available at a glance, so you can move through a progression without opening menus or changing pages.
Modal interchange and secondary dominants are part of the same workflow, so color and movement are always one step away.
Tuple runs as a Max for Live MIDI device on a track, sends MIDI to your instrument, and follows the session workflow you already use.
Inside Live
Drop Tuple before an instrument, sync or choose a key, and start playing. It is designed to feel immediate in an Ableton workflow: choose, hear, adjust, capture.
What it helps with
Use the grid to explore valid chords for the current key and scale, including major, minor, modes and other scale workflows.
Voice leading, voicings and expression controls help chords move smoothly without making the interface feel like a theory exercise.
When a progression works, use Progression → Clip to turn it into MIDI inside Ableton Live and continue arranging.
